“Supporting Orphans and Vulnerable Children” Project Expands to New Communities
October 22, CCF-Belarus invited child protection specialists from the selected communities to the project results dissemination roundtable. During the roundtable CCF-Belarus specialists presented to the participants the methodology and outcomes of CCF-Belarus child protection programs, including Parenting Skills Enhancement Program, Life Skills Program, Family-Centered Approach to Child Protection System Development, PRIDE Model for Training Prospective Foster Parents, and public awareness campaigns on child abuse prevention and family-type care development. Assisted by CCF-Belarus specialists, the participants clarified the needs of their respective communities, assessed the available resources, and discussed practical steps for replication of the selected programs.
As a result of this dissemination effort, partnership agreements on programs replication were signed with child protection institutions from nine new communities, including Kirovsk, Slavgorod, Brest Oblast, Brest District, Baranovichy, Mogilev, Grodno, Smorgon, and Bykhov.
